Achieving productive unity in an organization deals with the person and the personality of its member. Peopl are not machine. They work,, strive and are motivated. They react to their surroundings and especially to one another in that environment. An individual also interacts with groups or divisions. they can turh in their best efforts on behalf of their organization, or can, with equal enthusiasm turn strenuous activity towards blocking ot thwarting organization purposes.

People in the organization are human factors and they should be programmed beyond fairly simple levels of behavior. it is human nature to dislike being dictated. They resist being ” programmed” saying they are not machines. But there is a goal, there are different activities and there is the money spent and time exerted. All these constitute the problem- a problem at the center of the study of human relations.
